A container port or container terminal is a facility where cargo containers are transshipped between different transport vehicles, for onward transportation. The transshipment may be between container ships and land vehicles, for example trains or trucks, in which case the terminal is described as a maritime container port. Alternatively, the transshipment may be between land vehicles, typically between train and truck, in which case the terminal is described as an inland container port.

Powertec Solution
- Adjust the unit configuration or add external auxiliary equipment according to the customer’s use environment and actual conditions on site. Add water heater and oil heater. Improve the heat dissipation of the radiator to meet the requirements of high-temperature operation.
- For the marine climate, the radiator has undergone special anti-salinization treatment, the copper core has been tinned, and the frame and other hardware have been hot-dip galvanized. The winding part of the generator is specially treated according to the marine standard. The air inlet of the generator is equipped with an air inlet filter, and an anti-condensation heater is installed inside the generator.
- For the special equipment of the gantry crane terminal, Powertec customized the dedicated gantry crane silent generator set for the terminal, which is simple in structure, waterproof and leakage-proof. The surface of the canopy is sandblasted to SA2.5, and the total thickness of the bottom and middle three layers painting reach to 250 mm.
- Powertec has developed a two-speed and variable speed genset system. When the gantry crane lifts heavy containers, the generator set works at full speed. And the genset will running at idle or non-full speed under the light container lifting or standby condition which is able to reduce the fuel consumption.
- Powertec has also developed the RTG hybrid power system, which uses super battery packs with a small diesel generator sets and other devices to complete the work of the conventional diesel generator sets, and fuel saving rate up to 63%.
